The minister said the setting up of GTDC would not undermine the role of the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL), maintaining that the role of the government agency will be that of a catalyst. The decision to set up GTDC will certainly boost the various tourism-related activities in Gujarat like Religious Tourism, Heritage Tourism, Adventure Tourism, Wildlife Safaris, Medical Tourism, Beach Tourism and so on.
