There’s a fundamental movement going on many people call medical tourism. I think the word tourism is too frivolous for the movement. New, modern medical centers are springing up all over the world catering to people who cannot get the kind of service they want in their home countries.

Of particular local interest are the ones in Mexico, especially in the border region. Americans and some Canadians are going to them rather than their nearest medical facility.
