Charity Hospital Launches Medical Tourism Program In Taiwan

The hospital, the largest medical center in eastern Taiwan, said it has decided to collaborate with travel agencies to introduce medical tourism packages for visitors from home and abroad.

The hospital will put together several packages to meet the needs of tourists, including fast affordable checkups, high-technology diagnostics, plastic surgery, and micro-plastic surgery, said Hsu Wen-lin, the hospital's vice president.

Tsai Shih-tzu, director of the hospital's Preventive Medicine Center, said more and more people are taking the approach that "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, " and are having health checks as the best form of prevention.
