Dr. Christopher Zachary, chairman of the UCI Department of Dermatology, predicted that the newly introduced Zeltiq device, which uses cold termperature to destroy fat cells, will be “the big news for 2010.”

“Non-invasive, painless, safe and predictable fat removal … once the public realize how good this is, they will be clamoring for it. Cryolipolysis [treating fat with cold] has all the features the public are looking for to remove those localized fatty collections including love handles and abdominal fat,” he said.
