Childress Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is a full service rural health care facility operated by a county hospital district, governed by an elected board of directors and licensed by the Texas Department of Health. CRMC is a 54-year member of the Texas Department of Health and a charter member of Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals.
Since the inception of the hospital district in 1967, the board of directors and administration of Childress Regional Medical Center have maintained a focus on long-term healthcare needs of county residents and what has become an underserved region in the southeast panhandle of Texas. Excellent care and good outcomes are the guiding principles for the 11 physician medical staff and nursing staff of more than 70 licensed professionals. That principle of excellence in patient outcomes resulting in the 100 Top Hospital designation in 2005. CRMC is guided by the philosophy that profits be reinvested in modernizing equipment and infrastructure on an ongoing basis.
