Karl Bremer Hospital is one of the oldest hospitals in the Western Cape and celebrated it's 50th anniversary in 2006.  The hospital is situated next to the N1 highway and is accessible from all the major transport routes. This provincial hospital provides high quality healthcare, for both the private (belonging to a medical scheme and the private paying patients) as well as the Government-subsidised patients.  Quality healthcare is provided with a holistic approach. The hospital was accredited as a Baby Friendly Hospital in 2005 and has a ward for Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC).
